About Me

My name is Yvette Addo. I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

As a therapist, my role is to work alongside you to help find ways to understand and address the issues you may be facing. My approach is to build a safe, trusting and confidential environment that challenges and supports you but also encourages self-awareness, resilience and personal growth. 

With an integrative therapeutic approach, I can draw upon different skills and techniques (Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioural) that may best support you and your personal goals.

My client range is varied, in that I am familiar and experienced in working as an Occupational Health consultant for large international management consulting firms and also providing occupational health support within the public sector with local authorities. Additionally, I am also a listed Occupational Health provider via Compsych as well as  Vitality Health insurance.

As well as my two London based practices ( Farringdon & Islington) , I also provide a counselling service within an NHS GP surgery, and a Drug and Alcohol charity. Alongside my private practice, I work as a 'Specialist Mentor' Higher Education (HE). providing support to students (with a mental health diagnosis) across 350 Higher Education Providers (HEP) in the UK. 

My expert knowledge is also used to provide guidance in globally-read articles, such as the Huffington Post, now known as HuffPost.
